Being on hold sucks. There’s not a better way to say it. It’s a pain point for small and large businesses and has a major impact on the customer service experience in most industries. And unfortunately, it’s not going away anytime soon. But that doesn’t mean it has to be a terrible experience! Introducing holdmusic.io, a resource for providing free and optimized hold music, some tips on making your own, and as a platform for telephony developers to give control back to the customer and the caller. The latter part is still in beta testing, but I’m really excited and I wanted to start getting the word out! The free plan gets you started with a monthly email pack of optimized hold music for telephone systems, and includes some goodies like children’s stories, poems, and other unique hold music options!
